The Dirty Dozen – Reasons You Don’t Use Social Networks To Market Yourself
We have heard from hundreds of you as to why you do not use Social Networks to market yourself and we have assembled The Dirty Dozen and why SocialMadeSimple can help. These have been put together and edited by our esteemed colleague Stevie Black, aka socialamigo ( http://twitter.com/socialamigo ). We’ll launch them via this blog and it’s affiliated twitter, linkedin, and facebook sister sites over the course of the next few days.
Reason #11 – I’m more comfortable with traditional marketing methods like direct mail postcards and business networking groups.
Traditional marketing methods are called “push” marketing and business networking groups, while often very successful, create a narrow funnel for leads and information – they can only come from those people in that group. With SocialMadeSimple, you can now enter the world of “pull” marketing by listening in on conversations many of your contacts are already having on the internet. Someone’s having a new baby? Maybe they need a bigger house or a refinance mortgage. Someone got a new job? Maybe they need to relocate or sell a house. By having all of the conversations in one place, SocialMadeSimple allows you to stay on top of the changes that make a difference to your contacts and their lives.
Reason #10: Social networks are for the younger generations – I really don’t think I fit the profile.
No matter what your generation is, the fact is sites like Facebook have more people older than you using them right now. It’s true that social networks aren’t popular with all professional communities yet, but in those professions where establishing and keeping relationships gives you a competitive edge, social networks are the vanguard. This is why SocialMadeSimple was developed by and for real estate and mortgage professionals – we understand the tremendous value of keeping in close contact with everyone you know!
Reason #9: With social networks, I’m never sure what to do or whether I’m doing it when I should.
When you sign-up with SocialMadeSimple, you get to design a plan for using social networks that fits you best. Then, using the SocialMadeSimple’s exclusive Chalkboard system, you will know exactly where you stand with the plan you’ve selected every time you log into the system. In addition, our reminder system lets you know what you need to do to stay on track. You control every aspect of the program and we’ll guide you and make suggestions.
Reason #8: I never know what to say and besides, I’m really not a writer.
For most people, knowing what to write about is as important as how it will look and sound. Our Content Library was developed to feed you news you can use in your posts – to help you get started or if you’re too busy. Send it as is or add your comments. In addition, we’ve stocked our Tips Section with loads of ideas on what to write about and helpful hints on what people want to hear about. We’ll coach you all the way.
Reason #7: Social networks are so confusing and they all want things written differently.
It’s true – currently, every social network does things a little bit different. To help, SocialMadeSimple created one place in our system from where you send everything and anything – whether it’s a photo of a new listing, an invitation to an open house, or the latest news about interest rates – it’s all formatted for ease of use. You don’t have to worry about if it’s right or if it will look right on the other end!
Dirty Dozen – Reason #6: Social networking demands too much time.
We would agree. Logging into multiple sites, doing research and reading blogs to track the latest trends using a particular social network, even writing can be a challenge! That’s why SocialMadeSimple has developed a program that brings social networks to you, lays out the content you’ll need to be an expert, and gives you help and guidance along the way. Our goal is simple – to make social network marketing easy for everyone.
Dirty Dozen – Reason #5: I feel that signing up with so many websites will create privacy issues for me.
SocialMadeSimple’s proprietary applications are protected by the highest degree of security available. We don’t sell our lists and don’t use affiliate sites nor do we allow them to advertise on our sites. We do this principally to protect you from just the kind of issues you are worried about.
Dirty Dozen – Reason #4: I tried social networking in the past, but I didn’t see results.
Most of us have dabbled with social networking, some may have even tried keeping many accounts going across a broad spectrum of social networks. It takes a lot of time and effort to use this type of “scatter-shot” approach to social network marketing. SocialMadeSimple’s plan is to reduce the amount of time and effort needed to “perform” the tasks associated with social networking, so you can concentrate more on what you’re saying and become a greater value to your contacts. This is how you build inherent value using social networking for business.
Dirty Dozen – Reason #3: I don’t know which social networking sites are the best for business.
We have done lots of research and found that right now the four best ways to reach the business community is through Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and through a blog. SocialMadeSimple has developed a program that lets you work with all four of these separate systems from one, easy-to-use access point and coaches you on how to get across the points you’d like to make.
Dirty Dozen – Reason #2: Social networking sites are overwhelming.
With SocialMadeSimple, social networking can never be overwhelming because we walk you through every step of the process when you get started – and then we don’t leave your side. With helpful reminders sent on a schedule you decide on and access to our content library that’s updated daily, you’ll always know what to say and when to say it.
Dirty Dozen – …and Reason #1: Why Professionals DON’T Use Social Network Marketing!
Awaiting the arrival of SocailMadeSimple!!
Okay, we made this one up but you can’t argue with the facts.
